For players searching for crushing extended-range tones without sacrificing precision or feel, the ESP LTD SC-607B Stephen Carpenter Signature delivers a purpose-built platform for modern heavy music. Designed in collaboration with Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter, this 7-string baritone was built to explore the massive sonic landscapes and downtuned textures that helped define an entire generation of alternative and progressive metal.

The SC-607B combines a neck-thru-body design with a 27” scale length, creating exceptional sustain, tuning stability, and clarity in lower tunings. Its mahogany body wings provide warmth and depth, while the three-piece maple neck offers snap and articulation for tight riffing and aggressive attack. The Thin U neck profile and Macassar ebony fingerboard deliver a fast, comfortable playing experience that thrives under technical playing styles, intricate chord voicings, and high-speed lead work. The reverse headstock further enhances tension on the lower strings, giving the seventh string extra authority and definition.

Equipped with Stephen Carpenter’s Fishman Fluence SRC Signature 3-Voice pickups, the SC-607B offers an enormous tonal palette ranging from tight modern aggression to smoother, more organic voicings. Push-pull controls unlock multiple pickup voices for added versatility, while the TonePros locking bridge and LTD locking tuners ensure rock-solid performance under heavy use. Finished in an eye-catching Magenta gloss with gold hardware, this signature model is equally commanding visually and sonically, and includes a deluxe ESP hardshell case for premium protection; available now at Haggerty’s Music.
