Details:

This Gibson EH-150 7-string lap steel from 1937 is in good physical condition and perfect playing condition. This is a rare pre-war variant with 7 strings that is hard to come by, mostly seen is the 6-string version. Guitar has been fully tested and plays and works great along with all electronics. Has the original Charlie Christian pickup which sounds great! Included are some pictures of the inside of the guitar revealing the original wiring and pots. The Guitar is physically in good shape and shows various blemishes on the finish throughout as shown, expected with the age of the instrument. But for being 89 years old the instrument has been well preserved. Blemishes consist of some marks and scuffs on the finish and edges as shown. However there are no damages to the guitar, no cracks, dents, or major issues. The video included in the listing highlights all blemishes. This guitar is finished in an original Sunburst featuring a quilted top. Tuners seem to all be original and work with no issues. Comes with strings although string life and size is unknown. Of note, the guitar does have some engravings from the previous owner as shown, notably on the back and tip of the headstock and on the heel of the neck right above the serial number. Also would like to mention that it appears that the nut has shifted a little bit, on one side there is a bit of a gap as shown. The serial number on the back cover is matching the inside. Serial number is 1114-24 indicating a 1937 model year. This guitar is a true gem and it appears no modifications have been done to it. Comes with the original hard case as shown which shows obvious signs of age but it still functions great and has road worn look. Also comes with the original pickup cover as shown which is not installed on the instrument. Comes with the 2 slides shown as well. Local pickup is available from Simi Valley, CA. Please make sure to view all images and video to verify the condition of the guitar. You will receive the exact one shown in images.
