Vintage Early 1950s Ring-Mounted Dynamic Microphone, working-R2 (Hear it)

     Offering a vintage early 1950's Ring-Mounted Dynamic Microphone. Ring-mounted microphones were significant from the early to mid-20th century, particularly in broadcasting, as they provided improved sound quality and stability compared to earlier designs. These innovations helped shape the development of modern microphones used in various audio applications today.

The ring is 8 inches in diameter with the mic suspended in the center. The audio profile is full-frequency so would work well in as live stage situation. (Check the voice sample in the listing video.) The ring has a standard 5/8" thread, so it can be removed from this desk stand and used on a floor stand if you wished. The desk stand provided has a heavily-weighted base, and adjustable height. Total height is 18"-23", and is hard-wired to an 8' cable with 1/4" male phono plug.
