While it carries the familiar maple-and-mahogany foundation that players have come to expect from a Core PRS, its real story lies in the incredible versatility built into its electronics package. Designed to cover an enormous tonal range without sacrificing feel or musicality, the Modern Eagle V is equally at home in the studio, on stage, or anywhere in between.
The combination of TCI humbuckers, an NS-01 middle pickup, a 5-way blade switch, push/pull functionality, and dual mini-toggle switches gives the Modern Eagle V an impressive collection of usable sounds. From thick humbucker tones and articulate single-coil textures to unique blended voices that are entirely its own, this guitar rewards players who enjoy exploring every position on the selector switch. Despite all of its tonal flexibility, the Modern Eagle V still feels unmistakably PRS, with a comfortable Pattern neck carve, exceptional resonance, and premium craftsmanship throughout. Finished with high-end appointments including a one-piece mahogany neck, high-gloss nitro finish, Gen III tremolo, and Phase III locking tuners, the Modern Eagle V stands as one of the most sophisticated instruments in the PRS lineup and a fitting evolution of the Modern Eagle legacy.
