Otari decks have been known as reliable workhorses in the broadcast and recording industry since the 1980s. 

These machines have the most desirable features for multi track analog work. 

This one comes with a set of original Otari Hub Adapters, and a take up reel.

Known Modifications & Defects:

--It is missing the 2 long plastic feet, which were replaced with 4 nylon feet. 

--The side panels show some wear to the corners.  

--There are the usual gouges below the tape edit block.  

--There is a 1" hole cut into the rear panel to access the Speed Pair Switch without removing the panel.  

These models are capable of 15/7.5 or 7.5/3.75 IPS operation.  (As noted, the speed pair switch is accessible through a small hole on the rear panel.)  

A great machine for 15 IPS Stereo half track pro audio, and for quarter track audiophile use.   

Balanced inputs and outputs, accurate metering, and digital tape timer are some of the features.  

This machine has been completely overhauled, the electronics recalibrated, motors and linkages lubed, all switches and controls treated with R5.  

--All of the meters, lamps, LEDs, Button caps and knobs are intact and working.  

--All of the controls have been cleaned and checked for any intermittent contact noise.  

--The machine has been realigned and recalibrated according to Otari specifications.  

--The lifter and Pressure roller linkages have been removed, cleaned and lubricated.  

--The tension arms have been cleaned and lubed.  

--The Capstan and spooling motors have been lubricated according to Otari specs.

--Pressure roller tension was readjusted to 6.2 lb

--Playback Speeds are within spec of  +/- 0.2%  measured @ 10KHz. 

--Playback/Record Levels and EQ Calibration meets specifications.
