A so-called "partscaster" tele based on a WD Music body and neck, full wenge. I've always wanted a rosewood Telecaster, à la George Harrison, and wenge seems like a more practical alternative. Unlike various rosewood behemoths, it weighs a reasonable 3.8 kg, while remaining stiff and resonant like few other electric guitars I‘ve held in my hand.
Everything is top-shelf: a Fender bridge and other hardware, full-size CTS potentiometers, Sperzel locking tuners, Lollar Special T pickups (they have a bit more oomph than a standard Tele set, and the bridge pickup, in particular, has a slightly milder high end). It looks, sounds, and feels like a Custom Shop guitar.
