1990s Danelectro DC59 Short Horn Bass Black
It's Dano time!
The definitive retro reissue, Danelectros of the recent reissue variety have offered great looks and tone but at affordable price points which make them extraordinarily popular with collectors. This particular example, appearing to be of Korean origin, is a DC59 Short Horn bass, possessing a scale length of 34". Sporting the classic hollow body masonite design with vinyl taping on the sides, this example sports two lipstick pickups in tandem with stacked volume and tone controls for each pickup. Delivers a nice, mid-range focused sound which sits great in a lot of mixes. A super cool player and a great sound to have in your bass arsenal!
Cosmetic condition is good, showing some signs of wear throughout in the form of scratches as well as a noticeable ding on the back side of the body, lower bout. Some of the vinyl has separated in the cutaway in the bass and treble sides. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. No case or gig bag included.
