Emagic Unitor8 Mk II, pulled from our studio rack. A legendary MIDI interface and SMPTE synchronizer designed for integrating tape and video machines, timecode DATs, and mixer automation with a large MIDI rig. Emagic's Active MIDI Transmission (AMT) technology delivers exact timing across all MIDI ports, even in stacked multi-unit systems. Also functions as a standalone MIDI patch-bay with up to 32 programmable patches, switchable via footswitch or MIDI program change.

- Reads/writes SMPTE timecode as both LTC (Linear Timecode) and VITC (Vertical Interval Timecode)
- Video In/Out for timecode burn-in display
- Click In for driving tempo from a percussive audio signal
- RS-422 (Mac) and RS-232 (PC) connections, plus USB
- Stackable — up to 8 units per port (mixed AMT8/Unitor8/Unitor8 MkII systems supported)
- Panic/Patch button, updateable operating system
- Compatible with Logic Audio, SoundDiver, OMS, and MME MIDI drivers (Mac/Windows)
Condition notes: Normal cosmetic wear from rack use — visible marks on top panel (see photos). Green tape square is an internal SWP asset tag. Tested and functional.
