Origin Effects Halcyon Gold Overdrive
Our users rate Reverb
The Halcyon Gold is a boutique overdrive pedal handcrafted in England, inspired by the legendary Klon Centaur but enriched with numerous innovations that make it much more than a simple clone. It retains the transparent tone, characteristic midrange, and clean signal blend of the Klon, while incorporating exclusive Adaptive Circuitry technology, which automatically adjusts the pedal's response to variations in the guitar's volume control and pick attack. It features Drive, Tone, Level, and Dry controls, as well as Adapt and Voice switches. The latter allows you to choose between a KLN voice faithful to the Klon or a MOD voice with wider midrange and softer clipping. Powered by a high-end buffer and studio-quality components, it delivers an extremely dynamic overdrive, ranging from a transparent clean boost to a singing overdrive, while maintaining excellent definition and playing sensitivity. Highly regarded as an "always-on" pedal, it is often considered one of the most accomplished modern reinterpretations of the Klon Centaur.
