Eurorack is basically Lego for synthesizers, instead of buying one fixed keyboard synth, you pick individual sound-making modules (oscillators that make tones, filters that shape them, envelopes that control how sounds start and stop, sequencers that play patterns, etc.) and plug them together with cables however you want.

Everything fits into a standard rack case, runs on the same power system, and lets you invent your own unique instrument from scratch. No rules, no limits, pure hands-on sound design. Perfect starting point if you want to go beyond regular synths and start creating truly custom electronic music.
