The AKG D1200E is a versatile, all purpose mic that does almost everything well. It'll easily take the place of an SM57.
The D1200E is similar to the D1000E but with extended low frequency response down to 25Hz.
The three-position "B-M-S" switch changes the microphone's frequency response. It's not a simple high-pass filter, instead it creates three distinct tonal voicings.
This mic has been tested and works. It shows wear and the grill and side has a little dent and it had a piece of tape (presumably) on it for quite a while as there is an obvious area that hasn't aged like the rest of the exterior.
A high-grade collector this one is not but for someone looking for a great sounding everyday usable mic, here it is!
