Up for sale is an incredibly rare, vibe-heavy piece of 1990s Japanese craftsmanship: an all-original, Made in Japan (MIJ) ESP Eclipse Semi-Hollow.

This is a highly unusual, short-lived model that represents a fascinating chapter in ESP history. While the Eclipse is famous today as a sleek, high-output solidbody, this rare '90s variant features a lightweight, resonant semi-hollow construction paired with a classic trapeze tailpiece. This design delivers a wonderful acoustic woodiness and airy resonance to its amplified tone, offering a completely unique sonic footprint that stands out from standard solid-body Eclipses.

This guitar is a phenomenal player. It is structurally solid, sounds incredibly rich, and has that signature fast, smooth neck carve that made '90s Japanese ESPs legendary.

Condition Report

Body & Finish: Overall Very Good to Good "Player's" condition. As a black-finished guitar that has been loved and played over the past 30 years, it shows cosmetic wear consistent with its age—including a couple of small dings, light surface scratches, and minor playing wear that are hard to show in pics due to the gloss finish.

Hardware Aging: The hardware has aged beautifully. There is some natural oxidation and patina visible on the pickup covers and the trapeze tailpiece, giving the guitar a highly desirable, authentic vintage aesthetic.

Neck & Frets: The neck is completely straight, the truss rod functions perfectly, and have plenty of life left for smooth playability.
