This compact studio compressor delivers three world-famous sounds in a single pedal!
Released in 1967, the "1176" is the king of rack-mount audio limiters, featured on countless classic albums. This compact version reproduces the same punchy, expressive tone as the globally renowned hardware. From smooth slides of the 1970s to chick-like picking and funk, it delivers an iconic punch that suits every genre. With simple attack and release controls, various ratio settings, and the famous "All Button" (a special compression mode obtained by simultaneously pressing all RATIO buttons on the original unit), you can achieve a wide range of sounds beyond just classic tones. From the delicate squeeze this model provides to the endless sustain achieved by using two units in parallel, like Lowell George, or the compression crunch of Led Zeppelin IV, utilizing the legendary "trio setup" (using three 1176-style compressors in series) allows you to obtain the same iconic tone and effect heard on countless classic albums. This unit is in relatively clean condition with minimal signs of use.
