With its striking all-black finish and rich, vintage-inspired voice, the Taylor 217e-BLK Plus is a guitar that makes an impression before you ever play the first note. Built around Taylor’s Grand Pacific body shape, it offers the warm, seasoned character of a classic round-shoulder dreadnought with a smooth, balanced response that feels equally at home under a heavy strum or a gentle fingerstyle touch. It’s the kind of guitar that invites long playing sessions and rewards every nuance of your performance.
A solid torrefied spruce top gives the 217e-BLK Plus the openness and warmth of a well-loved instrument right from day one, while layered maple back and sides provide clarity, durability, and focused projection. Taylor’s C-Class bracing enhances volume, sustain, and low-end richness, creating a full, confident sound that fills a room without losing definition. When it’s time to plug in, the Expression System 2 electronics faithfully capture the guitar’s natural voice, making it just as comfortable on stage as it is in the living room or studio.
Blending timeless acoustic character with modern reliability and unmistakable style, the Taylor 217e-BLK Plus is built for players who want an instrument that’s as inspiring to look at as it is to hear. Whether you’re performing, recording, or simply enjoying the moment, this guitar is ready for it all. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
