The PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN was built for players who demand precision, power, and versatility from every note. Designed in collaboration with Mark Holcomb of Periphery, this seven-string pushes beyond traditional boundaries while maintaining the exceptional craftsmanship and playability PRS is known for. With its extended 26.5-inch scale, sleek satin maple neck, and ultra-flat ebony fingerboard, it feels incredibly fast and controlled, making complex riffs, intricate chord voicings, and fluid lead work feel effortless.

At the heart of the guitar is a set of Mark Holcomb’s signature Seymour Duncan Scarlet and Scourge pickups, delivering the perfect balance of aggressive output and remarkable articulation. Tight, focused low end keeps extended-range riffs punchy and defined, while crisp highs and rich mids ensure every note remains clear, even under high gain. The push-pull coil tap expands the tonal palette with bright, expressive single-coil-inspired sounds, making the SE SVN just as comfortable delivering pristine cleans and mid-gain textures as it is unleashing crushing modern metal tones. Combined with the string-through bridge, every note resonates with impressive sustain and rock-solid tuning stability.

While it’s built to excel in progressive metal and technical playing, the SE Mark Holcomb SVN is far more versatile than its reputation suggests. Its dynamic response and thoughtful design make it an inspiring instrument across a wide range of musical styles, rewarding players with exceptional clarity, comfort, and control. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
