Up for sale we have a beautiful and all-original 2018 Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Walnut in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer Walnut Burst finish with original Gibson branded hardshell case. The J-45 has long stood as Gibson’s flagship slope-shouldered dreadnought acoustic, known for its warm, woody, balanced tone and excellent projection. This Custom Shop Walnut version takes the original design and puts an interesting spin on it with top-shelf craftsmanship, premium tonewoods and stage-ready electronics. The result is a fine instrument that stays true to the original in many ways but adds modern playability and functionality as well as an understated visual elegance that blends the past and present. This particular example is in excellent used condition showing light cosmetic wear with faint surface scuffs and scratches in the clear coat finish and on the pickguard (difficult to photograph but visible in-person in the right light) as well as a handful of small dings scattered sparsely throughout the body. The neck is in excellent shape showing very little visible signs of use, a couple of pinhead sized dings along the backside and some surface scratches on the face of the headstock from string changes. Overall a nice and clean instrument that has seen some use but well taken care of.
