Collision Devices is a boutique effects pedal brand that handcrafts its pedals in France.

Although a relatively young brand, founded around 2016, it has gained significant support, primarily in Europe and the US.

This TARS DLX pedal is likely the only pedal to feature two analog fuzzes and two analog filters.

It's an evolution of the highly-regarded TARS pedal.

The fuzz section is taken from the Singularity section of their Black Hole Symmetry pedal.

It's then processed through a filter inspired by the KORG MS20, resulting in a noisy texture.

Let's start with the fuzz section.

The Gain control is placed after the JFET transistor input, followed by the silicon transistor amplification and clipping section. The Master control is volume, as expected.

The added BLAST fuzz feeds back part of the circuit, adding a heavier, more fiery texture.

And finally, the filter section.

The main controls are LPF and HPF, and their respective RESONANCE controls.

The two filters offer flexible frequency range control, and their intensity is adjustable via the Resonance control.

The 2p/4p switch alters the character of this section.

These filters are very powerful, more synthesizer-like than typical guitar or bass EQs. The MS20 is clearly the inspiration.

The switch marked ""S"" allows you to choose whether the filter applies to one or both of the two fuzzes.

When S mode is on, long-pressing the CRASH footswitch activates ADD FUZZ.

A short press activates BLAST.

The filters can be controlled with an EXP pedal, opening up new and unexpected possibilities.

Whether this filter applies to both is selectable via the mini-switch in the upper right.

The fuzz texture isn't overly harsh, leaning more towards distortion.

Its user-friendly texture makes the significant changes made by the Cut Off control particularly enjoyable.

The resulting tonal changes are significant, allowing for sound shaping beyond the capabilities of typical fuzz pedals.

The warranty period is 3 months for used items and 1 year for new items.

* Malfunctions and damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.

* Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by parties other than our company.

* If the warranty card does not have your name, model name, serial number, etc. filled in. Or, if the wording has been altered.

* If the warranty certificate is not presented or is lost.
