The Ernie Ball Music Man James Valentine signature guitar (non-trem version) was purchased new through Sweetwater 4 years ago. Everything about this guitar is absolutely gorgeous. The maroon burst sparkle finish looks incredible in the light and the flamed neck and fretboard is jaw-dropping. The 10" radius fret board is so comfortable, especially when paired with the satin/tongue oil finish that Ernie Ball uses. This guitar simply looks amazing. On top of that, the thin slab body makes it super light weight and easy to play for long periods. James Valentine designed this one to blend an ES335 (neck) and a Telecaster (bridge). The neck pickup splits and sounds phenomenal. I typically leave the pickup split at all times. This guitar also has a boost circuit built in for a quick 12dB volume boost (EB says that can be adjusted to 20 dB). While this circuit does require a battery, the guitar itself is completely passive. If the battery dies, or you take it out, the guitar works flawlessly -- minus the boost feature. The Schaller locking tuners are also impressive and make string changes a breeze. The guitar also comes with the original hard shell case and case candy -- including Sweetwater's original 55-point inspection.

This guitar is one I have loved deeply for 4 years and played sparingly -- once every month or two at church. However, I'm looking to upgrade my acoustic guitar in a major way and parting with this beauty is the easiest way for me to get there. Please feel free to ask any questions or make an offer.
