1978 Musicmaster Bass with some nice checking and natural play wear.
This specific bass has an incredibly RARE flamed maple neck for what is considered a “student model” bass. The finish looks almost brownish-green in the sunlight due to uv light affecting the finish! The highlight of this musicmaster bass is the neck, the pictures don’t do it justice! The neck is nice and straight with minor fret wear on the lower register but good amount of life left. The neck is similar to a P bass in shape, very comfortable to play and sits well in the hand. This bass is extremely light, about 7lb 8oz. Truly incredible example of a bass that was made by using “left overs” from musicmasters/ mustang basses/ stratocasters.
