FoxRox Electronics Paradox TZF2 Green Flanger - PRISTINE! - NOS MN3007 Matsushita/Panasonic BBD Chips! MINTY!

FoxRox PARADOX THROUGH-ZERO TZF2 FLANGER - with NOS Matsushita/Panasonic BBD Chips! MINTY!

EXCELLENT CONDITON!

Runs on 18Volts DC with Negative Center Pin. Power Supply NOT INCLUDED.

Because I am not the manufacturer of this pedal I am prevented by Reverb from listing this pedal as in either New or Mint condition; therefore I've listed it as "EXCELLENT". This pedal is in the exact same completely pristine condition as when I received it from Dave Fox! Since that time it has been stored in my smoke-free home studio in a drawer.

I had concrete plans for this pedal when I first purchased it from Dave Fox (in a set of 3 identical pedals) in 2003. However, after having major multiple surgeries and other health issues since then, my plans have changed. I'm now offering up two of the 3 pedals from the set of 3.

This pedal has never been plugged in, powered up, nor played. I removed it from the original packaging only once to photograph the actual item and to show the two NOS Matsushita/Panasonic BBD chips on the circuit board, as well as to reveal the two extra brand new modern Xvive BBD chips Dave so kindly provided me. These two Xvive chips (located inside the pedal) are to be used as backup chips if ever the NOS chips might fail sometime in the far future. They are easy to replace because they are all socket mounted into the circuit board. SEE PICS!

Back then in post-pandemic 2003, there was a huge lag in the international and domestic supply chains for chips and pedal components. Since the modern Xvive BBD MN3007 chips Dave uses for his pedals were not available for some months at a time, Dave's TZF2 Flanger pedal building process was at a standstill. He put out the call for folks who were interested to perhaps provide him with NOS BBD MN3007 chips if they had them on hand and wanted to own one of his new line of TZF2 flangers. With some difficulty, I located 3 pairs of NOS chips and sent them to Dave with the caveat that any of them may not meet muster, since so many of the Quote, "NOS MN3007 BBD chips" available on the market were in fact, badly manufactured, maybe rejects from production runs, and at worst, fakes being sold to hoodwink the buyers. As it turned out when Dave tested them we were both pleasantly surprised: All 6 of the chips I had located, purchased and sent to Dave turned out to be authentic, viable and matchable pairs! As a result, Dave kindly agreed to allow me to purchase three of these lovely pedals. He also kindly tuned each pedal to match the other two pedals so they would adjust and perform identically (by tuning the tapers on the photocells he built to match). I felt like I'd hit the jackpot, and had backup chips in backup identical flangers from Dave! This was indeed a true kindness on his part!

The two Paradox TZF2 Flangers I am selling on Reverb are SN 51 (MINTY!) and SN 52 (MINTY TWO!)

This pedal is being sold "As-Described"; therefore this sale is final. The pedal is not available for a return after purchase, so do please kindly contact me and ask all questions you may have BEFORE you buy.
