This is a very clean, lightly‑used Fender Standard Jazz Bass (MIM) with a 2001 serial number (MZ114743) that was purchased new in 2004. Fender serial numbers often reflect the production year rather than the retail sale year, so the serial and purchase date differ — completely normal for MIM instruments from this era.

The bass has seen very light use since purchase and has been well cared for. It recently received a full setup and is strung with new DR Sunbeams. Everything is 100% original — no modifications.

Condition Details

Body: Black gloss finish is exceptionally clean — no haze, no fine scratches, no swirling.

Bridge area: One small scratch in the saddle area (cosmetic only).

Neck plate: A few tiny (~2mm) imperfections on one corner.

Chrome hardware: No pitting, corrosion, or dulling.

Pickguard: No swirling.

Neck: No back‑of‑neck wear.

Frets: No visible fret wear.

Tuners: Turn smoothly, no binding.

Nut & Saddles: Clean slots, saddles adjust normally.
