Provenance & Craftsmanship

Each body was made from premium lumber hand-selected by a boutique luthier, who personally sourced and transported the wood to a professional shop in New Jersey for shaping. Specifications were tailored to his own playing preferences, making them compatible with standard hardware while offering a refined feel and build quality not found in mass-produced bodies. For example, the Cap or top of the bass bodies is much thicker then 1/8th inch. (Often the standard in available bass bodies.) The thicker top allows for more complex tones and frequencies. A thicker cap also shows more of the beautiful wood grains from the side view of the bass.

Features a unique three-layer wood construction — a THICK 8/16” maple top paired with a warm-toned, one solid Piece of Butternut, (also known as White walnut back), separated by a reddish-brown mahogany accent 1/4”. The back is indeed Butternut determined by the actual Luthier. This combination offers visual contrast and tonal balance, seldom found in NOS condition.

Wood Type & Grain

• Top: Light maple with subtle natural figure — mild flame visible along the edges and gentle wavy grain through the Solid ne-piece top. Over 1/2” thick!

• Middle accent: Thin (1/4”) mahogany accent layer with a rich reddish-brown tone and fine, even grain.

• Back: Genuine one-piece, solid wood with warm, medium-brown color and moderately open grain. Solid white walnut or also callled Butternut.

• Solid one-piece mahogany accent— highly favored with bass players for its tonal warmth,

sustain, and resonance.

Note: Contains genuine mahogany, subject to CITES restrictions for international shipping (U.S. shipping only).
