Maestro Boomerang BG-2 1973 - matte black made by GIBSON
It is in amazing, collectors-grade condition, very clean and really looks to be in unused condition. Obviously never on a board or gigged with. Acquired it out of a private collection. This was upgraded by the wah-pedal master, Geoffrey Teese, back in 2026 with a new RMC pot, original wiring, jacks and a vintage style 9v snap. The originals used a AA-sized style of 9v battery that is no longer available. Had some scratchiness in the pot and considered it shot. Teese replaced the original pot, with his RMC ICAR pot, (original pot is included) and recalibrated the pot to the optimal setting. This has the original El Rad 500mh inductor, but for some reason any temperature above 78 degrees, makes this inductor lose it's guts. So Geoffrey Teese installed his Picture wah (his version of the halo) inductor, and it SOUNDS wonderful - the Boomerang has its own unique wah sound, with more vocal range with the RMC ICAR pot and Red Halo inductor.
This has a vinyl carry bag, black with heavy duty zippers. The original pot and inductor ARE included.
Trying to avoid from instituting a no refund policy on vintage gear, so other than guaranteeing that it will not be DOA. Any questions, please ask. Unless otherwise noted, everything included with this item is shown in the photos. Items not pictured are not included.
