A Tele for Today’s Performers

Imagine a classic Corona-built Tele in all its glory, tastefully refined for the modern performer — that’s the Fender American Ultra II Telecaster! This alder-bodied 6-string boasts updated backside contouring and a sculpted neck heel, making this legendary design extremely comfortable to wield. Fitted with a quartersawn maple neck that’s been carved to a speedy Modern D profile, the American Ultra II’s comfortably classic appeal only strengthens as your chording hand falls into place. Expect that cherished Telecaster shimmer without the pesky hum when you warm up these Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Tele single-coils, providing professional-grade results in live settings and studio-standard tones when recording. Finally, sealed locking tuners and a 6-saddle hardtail bridge maintain peace of mind during every performance and round out the American Ultra II Telecaster’s outstanding union of tradition and innovation.

The Tele feel we’ve always wanted

Fashioned with a body of alder wood, the American Ultra II Telecaster sports a nice weight right out of the gate — but there’s a catch! Instead of the traditional flat body design typically associated with Telecasters, the American Ultra II comes comfortably shaped with long contouring at the upper waist, subtle contouring at the back of the cutaway, and convenient top shaping at the lower bout. This trifecta of attention ensures a greater connection to the instrument as you play, keeping discomfort out of the equation. Joining the revelry, a sculpted neck heel and Modern D neck profile further streamline maneuverability and speed across the American Ultra II, delivering a truly commanding grasp never before felt on a Telecaster.

Buzz-free Ultra II single-coils

What’s your Tele tone poison? From the twang and punch of country and blues to the grace and growl of soul and folk rock, these Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Tele pickups will do the trick and then some. Infused with those iconic single-coil sounds that we’ve known and loved for so many years, this pickup pairing can travel the musical timeline better than most. Both pickups come engineered for stunningly noise-free operation, meaning that the age-old irritations of single-coil buzz and hum are now simply stresses of the past. Polish your sonic vibe with master Tone and Volume controls, and totally transform the signal quality of your live rig or studio sound.

Dashingly dutiful hardware

Being so performer friendly, it only makes sense that the American Ultra II Telecaster comes fortified with the proper hardware to hold its own. This starts at the headstock, where Fender’s Deluxe Cast sealed locking tuning machines keep a solid watch on your intonation, while a Graph Tech TUSQ nut purifies your strings’ every nuance. Down at the body, a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge hosts chrome-plated brass saddles to aid in delivering that legendary Tele snappiness with total dependability. To top it all off, the American Ultra II Telecaster dons a sharp-looking anodized aluminum pickguard that emphasizes the modern edge this 6-string so boldly struts.
