The Bento is 1010music's most ambitious product to date — a self-contained sampling production lab designed to replace the laptop without trying to be one. Eight fully flexible tracks cover sample banks, multisamples, slicers, granular synthesis, loop playback, and external MIDI control, all sequenced through a scene-based engine with step, piano roll, probability, and real-time clip launching modes. Sixteen velocity and pressure-sensitive pads, eight endless encoders, and a bright 7" touchscreen give you hands-on control over everything without menu diving, and per-pad level, pitch, pan, FX sends, and modulation make detailed sound shaping fast and intuitive. A powerful onboard FX section — delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser, overdrive — runs per-track with full routing flexibility, backed by an extensive modulation system of LFOs, envelopes, and step sequencers. Connectivity is genuinely pro-level: three stereo inputs and outputs, dual TRS MIDI I/O (Type A and B), USB-C host and device ports, stereo headphone output, and a built-in battery for up to three hours of untethered use. The Bento streams long WAVs directly from microSD and resamples the master output internally for layering and capturing ideas on the fly. A serious, well-executed instrument for anyone building a laptop-free production and performance rig.
