DESCRIPTION:

When Steve Vai teamed up with Ibanez in 1987, the result would become one of the most recognizable signature guitars ever created. Today, the JEM remains instantly associated with Vai's unmistakable style, sound, and technical approach.

The Ibanez JEMJRSP brings many of the signature JEM design elements into a more accessible package. Its meranti body provides a balanced response with a slightly scooped midrange character, while the Wizard III maple neck delivers the thin, flat, and fast feel Ibanez players expect.

The jatoba fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets and the iconic Tree of Life inlay, giving the guitar both smooth playability and the unmistakable visual identity of the JEM series.

An H-S-H configuration of Ibanez Infinity pickups provides a wide range of tones, from clear single-coil textures to powerful humbucking sounds. A 5-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone controls make it easy to move between rhythm, lead, and cleaner settings.

The Double Locking Tremolo system provides expressive pitch control while helping maintain tuning stability during aggressive playing.

Of course, the JEMJRSP also includes one of the model's most famous visual features: Steve Vai's signature Monkey Grip, built directly into the body.
