DescriptionEpiphone P-90 pickups are vintage-inspired single-coil pickups that sit perfectly between traditional Fender-style single-coils and thick humbuckers. They feature a wider, flatter coil for a raw, punchy midrange and articulate high-end. Modern Epiphone P-90s generally feature Alnico magnets, scatter-wound coils. Tonality: They deliver a bold, growling tone with a prominent midrange and singing sustain. They are highly dynamic, responding aggressively to picking intensity and volume knob adjustments. Design & Construction: True to classic vintage P-90 designs, they use wider, shorter bobbins and a set of two bar magnets rather than individual pole-piece magnets.
