For sale is a vintage Yamaha FG-230 Red Label 12-string acoustic guitar, made in Japan by Nippon Gakki during Yamaha's highly regarded Red Label era (approximately 1968-1972). These early Japanese-built FG models have earned an excellent reputation for their build quality, reliability, and rich, shimmering 12-string tone.
This guitar features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and the original Yamaha chrome tuners. It produces the classic full-bodied, jangly sound that made these vintage FG-230s favorites among folk, classic rock, and singer-songwriter players.
