UPDATE: This listing is just for the original cabinet and original amp. The cabinet works but will need adjustments and restoration to be perfect under a microphone. It might be just fine as it sits but I cant guarantee these old cabinets from baffle noise etc. Fliptop has replacement parts to restore yourself though. If you want the rare Vintage Blue cabinet I will be selling that in a separate listing. This listing is just for the original elements including the original dolly which functions ok but probably needs new casters to work smoothly. The amp was professionally recapped as you can see in the pictures and has NOS super high quality tubes in it but I cannot guarantee anything made from 1965 to last forever without maintenance, especially after shipping. If any issues arise after shipping I will not accept returns on this but trust it will be packed very professionally. Luckily, these are made very well and can infinitely be repaired so anything that does happen is likely to be minor and can be repaired. Pick up is always encouraged on items this fragile though. Ships in 2 boxes to protect it the best, which is why shipping is expensive. Please allow 7 days to process shipping as I will need to order a custom box for the cabinet.

Here we have maybe the most special 1965 Ampeg B-15N you are likely to find on the used mark, fully ready to go and record with. This definitely belongs in a nice recording studio because it checks all the boxes historically and has been brought up to todays specs of recording and has what now is unobtainable, which is a brand new Vintage Blue cabinet which will no longer ever be made as of January of this Year. Recording with the original cabinets present a lot of extra noises and rattling and other cabinet makers arent 100% accurate like the Vintage Blue cabinets are, including structural details that are very laborious like dovetail joinery. These vintage-blue cabinets are the real deal and made by one man start to finish with every detail historically accurate. Mark was hired by Ampeg to make the famous flip top reissue cabinets as well which I think only 100 were made and they go for quite a bit of money if you can find them in the used market. I installed his recommendation for eminence 15" speaker and its an absolute delight. The speaker can easily be swapped out to whatever you're liking as well.

The head was professionally recapped by a reputable tech in New York City. NOS RCA power tubes and British rectifier tube were installed as well with very low hours. This amp is on par with many other vintage restored amps as far as noise goes, they are noisier than solid state amps obviously but under a mic you will not find better If you're trying to sound like Victor Wooten, this probably is not for you. If you like vintage basses, you will not find a better amp to complement it with than this.

Im very reluctant to sell this so my price is non negotiable and I guarantee you will be hard pressed to find this situation again. Expensive yes, but new bass rigs cost similarly and theyre a dime a dozen, dont carry anywhere near the clout or historical significance as this does and that is for a reason. It sounds perfect.
