The Fender Jim Root Telecaster strips away everything you don’t need and leaves behind a purpose-built machine for crushing riffs and uncompromising performance. Designed alongside the Slipknot guitarist, this signature model takes the familiar Telecaster platform into far heavier territory, delivering the aggressive attitude, simplicity, and reliability that modern metal players demand. Its understated satin finish and minimalist control layout make one thing clear, this guitar is built to play, not distract.

A mahogany body gives the Jim Root Telecaster a thick, resonant foundation, while the fast 12-inch-radius fingerboard and jumbo frets encourage effortless bends, rapid-fire solos, and precise rhythm work. The pairing of EMG 60 and EMG 81 active humbuckers delivers the tight low end, searing attack, and exceptional clarity needed for everything from drop-tuned chugs to soaring lead lines. With nothing more than a volume control and three-way selector standing between you and your tone, every adjustment is quick, intuitive, and stage-ready.

The hardtail string-through-body bridge keeps tuning stable and sustain strong, allowing you to focus entirely on your performance. Whether you’re pushing high-gain amps to their limits or recording razor-sharp rhythm tracks, the Jim Root Telecaster delivers the focused, uncompromising sound that has made it a favorite among heavy players worldwide. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
