Up for sale, a 2013 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard R8 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Lifton-style hardshell case, hangtags and CoA. This Les Paul features a heavily figured top and gloss Lemon Burst VOS nitro lacquer finish.

Weighing 9lbs 8oz, traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, two-piece carved maple top, and a one-piece mahogany neck capped with a rosewood fingerboard. This Les Paul is loaded with an early pair of Custombuckers, Gibson's latest highly praised PAF iteration. Featuring Alnico III magnets, these low-medium output pickups have all the chirp, honk, and bloom a player could want. The pickup set is dynamic, highly detailed, and balanced, comfortably versatile with any playing style. The bridge pickup has plenty of bite and growl, while the neck pickup has the buttery girth and power one expects without sacrificing clarity. This Custom Shop Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard R8 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Lemon Burst VOS nitro lacquer finish highlights the broad flame figuring in the maple, with cosmetic wear limited to concentrated shallow buckle rash central to the back and a few minor nicks and dings on the rest of the body, mostly on the lower bout perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean with just a few shallow marks.

The original Lifton-style hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags and CoA.
