vintage 60's UTC extra large LS series line level transformer repeat coils, for mix bus and many other uses. Housed and wired with black metal neutrik german XLR's. These are UTC equivalents of WE rep 111C with same rated frequency, very flat wide range. Solid tone for a mix that is glued together with depth and definition. Transient response is better than 111c, more punchy in the lows and detailed in the highs than 111c which are a bit more slow and laid back. Myself and many prefer the UTC's as they sound more solid, handle dynamics better, and are still full fat and flat.
The case is 7x7 square and stands 8" tall. Very heavy, has cushioned feet for desktop use. They are wired 1:1 ratio 600 to 600 line level to use anywhere in line level signal chains...ie on buses, after preamps, before/after compressors & eq's to beef them up, between any line level gear, etc. Totally passive, no power needed. Picture of the boxes is the rear jack view shown (jacks are on back for clean cable runs). Looks same on front just no jacks. The LS series are UTC's largest and best highest range (LS=Linear Standard). The freq specs are exactly same as WE 111c which is conservative so go lower and higher in reality.
USES: mix bus glue, adds punch, depth, weight and real analog harmonic color for use on mix bus, stems, tracks, inserts, after preamps and any other line level gear such as before or after compressors, effects, synths, analog keyboards, samplers, drum machines, while tracking or in post production etc to fatten then up and smooth out transients over the whole tonal range very effectively gluing things in place. Makes mixing easier, less need for compression and eq. Passive, no power needed. Solidly built with german made XLR's and internal shielded wire. FREE CUSTOM OPTIONS that can be added on for no extra cost if you want, is a second set of identical isolated split outputs (another pair of XLR outs would be added on the jack area) to use as a splitter to run a second set of outputs somewhere else. These have dual split outputs per channel so can be used as a splitter too. Another free option is a stereo variable LPF knob (or 2 dual mono ones) providing a gentle natural high cut filter to roll off the top end to your liking, either for a darker more vintage sound, or just to dial in the highs to your liking for the material being processed. Set full up it is not there, for full range highs suiting modern styles, turn down to darken gently.
SHIPPING TIME: Each box is semi "built to order" to allow for changes and custom options, and usually ships between 1+2weeks, regardless if custom options are added or not. We are always busy making units for people in the order they are purchased, and also run an analog repair shop as well. After purchase, tracking will be added & then we will notify you when unit is ready for UPS drop off to track then. Transformers and units may have cosmetic marks and variations from pictures being a handbuilt product using rotating stock of parts on hand at time of build. Ships UPS ground in USA signature required. Selling other brands of transformer boxes in our other listings.
