This guitar is literally one of a kind.  Really.  According to Gadow, this guitar was “1 of 1.”  For a NAMM show.

It has a deeply flamed maple top AND flamed back (see pics!!).  Rosewood neck with curly mahogany and a deep flamed top. The top is very thick, carved, and a perfect example of the beauty of thick natural flame.

The guitar is as close as possible to brand new.  I bought it new from the dealer and has never left my humidity-controlled, smoke- and pet-free studio.

It has been played, but gently.  I’ve been the only player and ensure that no sweat etc. is left on the guitar after I’ve played it.  And it always stays in its case.

So, while I am calling it “Excellent” it really is as close to brand new as possible.  (It is not "mint" because I added the Dunlap straplocks.) Really, there is less wear on this guitar than the guitars hanging in the music store being sold as “new” but of course they’ve been played by every interested buyer.

MSRP was $6480.  Dealer’s selling price was $5200.

Comes with original hard-shell case, all case candy, certificate of authenticity, and original tags.

Serial number # 0701010546, 2007

PS BTW: There is NO RISK to the buyer. The guitar is sold "As Described."

Reverb rules are that returns are accepted within 7 days, if the instrument was not "As Described" and the guitar was not damaged in the buyer's care.

However, I had a bad experience a few years ago where a guy bought a nice guitar from me, gigged with it(!), and then a few weeks later tried to return it.

Music stores with 30-day return policies can handle stuff like that. But I'm not a music store ... Again, if it arrives "not as described," then that is covered by Reverb's return policy.

Reverb's policy does protect the buyer. If you buy something from me or any other seller on Reverb, but it arrives "not as described," then please immediately inform the seller (in this case, me) and also Reverb.

Here's the Gadow website description of the less customized (i.e., not “1 of 1”) version:

CUSTOM SETNECK

Familiarity, comfort, and spectacular tone: these are the traits of the Custom Set Neck. A mahogany body and set mahogany neck combine to provide warm vintage sounds with bright, punchy highs. The neck is a little narrower than other Gadows.

The Custom Set Neck comes with Gadow handwound pickups. More so than any other Gadow, this guitar exudes pizzaz. We’ve dressed these guitars up with highly-figured carved maple tops and custom fretboard inlays.

If you crave tradition with Gadow comfort and tone, the Custom Set Neck is a must-have.
