The stock germanium transistor is a re-badged modern transistor, and opinions are split about it. So to remedy that, I put the original transistor, along with a NOS Motorola transistor, on a switch! I chose the Motorola transistor for more body and a touch more gain, so you can go from light overdrive to all-out crunch.
Since I performed the mods myself, I provide a 30-day guarantee (from the time of receipt) against failure of operation. This pedal was recently purchased new and comes with original box.
