Vintage Ibanez TS‑9 Tube Screamer, Made in Japan, early original production with serial number 198623, which dates this pedal to 1981 under the established original TS‑9 serial scheme.

This is an all‑original pedal from the early Maxon era and not a reissue. It has been opened and verified to retain its original, JRC2043 op‑amp (SRV's pedal) rather than the more commonly hyped JRC4558D, so this listing is being described accurately and priced accordingly.

Sonically, it delivers the classic TS‑9 voice: focused mids, smooth breakup, and that familiar ability to push an amp or tighten up another overdrive. The controls work as they should, and the pedal is fully functional.

Cosmetically, it shows honest vintage wear consistent with age, but nothing outside what you’d expect from a genuine early‑80s Tube Screamer. Please review the photos closely for condition details. Given its age, exceptionally clean.
