The Eagle II Acoustic Electric banjo is a whole new breed of banjo. It features the ground breaking Kavanjo® banjo pickup system allowing you to play on any stage with a true banjo tone and without the worry of feedback earlier banjo pickups have had.

The banjo features the patented Twenty-Ten Tone Ring which is a completely original Deering design that is unlike any other traditional tone ring.  It produces a high quality sound that is versatile for many styles of playing. While the sound is uniquely Eagle, it represents a refinement in the quality of banjo tone, something that allows the player to soar to new heights. It is perfect for the player who wants a professional quality banjo that he can use for playing many styles of music. Deering states that the Eagle II Acoustic Electric Banjo is played by Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons, James Adam Shelley of American Authors, Juan Pablo Villami of Morat, as well as by Elle King and Will Champlin.

Other than the normal wear on the banjo skin as seen in the photos the rest of this banjo is in outstanding shape to include the neck, fretboard, rim, peghead, and resonator.  The Kavanjo® banjo pickup system is fully functional and reproduces the authentic banjo sound very realistically  The included original Deering case has only been used indoors to store the banjo and is without any defects.

Also included is the fully functional Fishman Platinum Pro EQ Preamplification Pedal (a $360 value). The all-analog Platinum Pro EQ universal instrument preamp delivers incredibly accurate sonic detail for any acoustic instrument. A discrete, high-headroom preamp combines with precision, high-speed circuitry for pure fidelity and low distortion.

Classic Fishman tone controls are combined with a switchable guitar/bass EQ mode, making it more musical for use with bass instruments and more universal for recording and amplifying anything else. Critical performance features, including adjustable volume boost and balanced XLR D.I. outputs, are housed in a beautiful, road-ready design.

This is a perfect complement to the Eagle II Acoustic Electric Banjo by giving the musician the ability to fine tune the tone and brilliance of the banjo sound In excellent coordination and balance with the speaker amp whether it be for natural or reverb amplification. But the banjo sounds great with or without amplification. Amplifying offers that extra volume and/or special effect when desired with a much larger size audience or band.
