Vito 7214 Bb soprano clarinet in very good condition.   This is a very good student clarinet.   Clarinet has been serviced with all new pads and clarinet has been cleaned-oiled-and adjusted (also known as a C-O-A service).  Keys have been polished and adjusted for optimum mechanical action.  Key bumpers were replaced as needed with silent (not noisy like traditional cork) foam cushioning material.

Play tested by a clarinet player and all notes from bottom to top of scale come out fine.  No mouthpiece is included but a Fobes debut mouthpiece would be my recommendation (approximately $33 from Amazon). Case functions fine and latches open and close properly.

This clarinet was made in 1997. In today's marketplace of student level clarinets, the selling price of these clarinets is really high in my opinion. ($800 and up) You can find cheap clarinets from Chinese manufacturers - many are sold from Amazon - but they are really of inferior quality and the student will probably struggle with it. Nothing wrong with the $800 and up student clarinets made by Backun, Buffet, Yamaha, etc. but there are other options.

In my opinion, it is better off to get a decent older used clarinet. The best decent used older clarinet makers in my opinion are Yamaha, Vito, Selmer (Bundy), and Buffet. These were known as the Big 4 back in the day. The Vito 7214 is in that category of decent used student clarinets.

This Vito 7214 is a good solid instrument. It has a unique feature called the PRAG (Positive Radial Alignment Guide) which is basically a tongue and groove type fitting for the upper and lower joint. See the photo where the two joints intersect. This fitting assures that the joints are properly aligned. Some beginners have problems alighting the joints together so Vito came up with this feature.
