This is a Build Your Own Clone (BYOC) Stereo Analog Flanger pedal. It is built around a pair of bucket brigade delay chips, with features that allow it to get the tones of the Boss BF-2, the MXR M117, and the EHX Electric Mistress. Here's a rundown of the controls:
- RATE: This is the speed of the modulation. Turn it counter-clockwise for slow and subtle. Turn it clockwise for ray gun blasts.
- DEPTH: This is the intensity of the modulation. Turn it counter-clockwise for subtle. Turn it clockwise to get seasick.
- REGENERATION: This controls how much of the output signal is fed back into the input. Counter-clockwise gives you a nice dry modulation. Turning it clockwise can get the signal really wet.
- MANUAL: Flanger is a modulated delay effect. The signature feel of any classic flanger comes down to how long the initial delay is between the wet and dry signals. This knob allows you to move the delay time, so you can dial in all of the classics. At full clockwise, you can even get into Chorus and ADT sounds.
- TOGGLE: Flipping this switch adds the second delay chip, running parallel and out of phase with the first. This is part of how the Electric Mistress achieved its signature sound.
This Stereo Analog Flanger is being listed in fair condition. The build is really good, and the audio circuit works perfectly. However, the LED does not light up when the effect is turned on. You can power this with a 9-18 volt pedalboard power supply.
