Up for sale is a super rare Marshall Electronics Model 5002 Time Modulator. Legendary, fully analog multi-effects rack unit designed in the late 1970s by Steven St. Croix. Famous for its extreme flanging, analog doubling, and pitch dithering, it was famously used to create Darth Vader’s iconic voice and features on classic tracks by David Bowie, Stevie Wonder. Unfortunately this is exact one is half-functional: works only in a delay mode. The story behind this one is a real mystery: all of it’s life it’s been located in the USSR and at some point missed it’s original power supply and looks like someone tried to re-create it without any schematics cause it’s really impossible to find it at all... So there’s some modes installed: 5DIN Soviet connector for power supply and some Soviet IC’s on the right side of the unit (please refer for the last three pictures). On the left and middle side everything looks intact and completely original (RCA rare IC’s, Marshall dynamic and Static delay modules). Please see all pics cause they are a part of description. We will include this custom power supply. Unit sells as is and as pictured. And as half-functional, for parts or repair projects. Who can definitely repair it with no problems - David Kulka.
