This is a well preserved Penco A-500, one of the top-tier Kasuga-built dreadnoughts from the golden era of Japanese acoustic craftsmanship. Solid spruce top, richly grained rosewood back and sides, and the classic herringbone backstrip that mirrors vintage D-28 aesthetics.

The guitar is structurally excellent with no cracks, no lifting bridge, and a healthy neck angle. There are some deep scratches on the top and back, and one finish crack that is not structural near the pickguard. The tuners have been changed to Grovers. Frets are clean with minimal wear, action is comfortable, and the instrument has the warm, balanced voice these higher-end Pencos are known for---strong low end, clear mids, and a sweet top end that records beautifully.

Includes the original case, which is in good condition and hard to find with these models.
