This guitar is in MINT condition... which Reverb does not offer as a choice. You will not find a cleaner one. It is loaded with upgrades that are listed below. This was a unique year for Gibson when it came to the SG Special. The fretboard is rosewood and is thicker than normal. The neck width is slightly wider at .1" (.05 per side) and it has a slim neck profile. The neck has 24 frets, instead of the usual 22, and is 24.75" in length. It has the nicer lacquer Heritage Cherry finish. It also has the adjustable brass nut. The actual saddle portion was upgraded with a drop in Graph Tech nut. The original brass saddle comes with the guitar (see pictures). You won't find a nicer SG Special. I also just had it set up. The action is low and fast... partly because of the adjustable nut (that all guitars should come with).
