Purpose-built for extended-range clarity and modern high-gain performance, the Chapman ML1 Modern Baritone delivers crushing low-end definition without sacrificing articulation. Finished in the striking Abyss satin burst—shifting between deep green and purple tones—this guitar pairs aggressive aesthetics with precision engineering.
The 28" baritone scale length provides exceptional string tension and tuning stability for lower tunings, while the maple neck with a comfortable C profile and rolled-edge Macassar ebony fingerboard ensure smooth, confident playability across all 24 jumbo frets. An ash veneer top over an alder body keeps the instrument resonant and balanced, finished in satin for a fast, non-sticky feel.
Loaded with Chapman Sonorous Zero ceramic humbuckers, this ML1 is voiced for tight lows, focused mids, and cutting highs. A push-pull tone control unlocks coil-split options, offering everything from full, aggressive humbucker drive to cleaner, more articulate single-coil textures—ideal for modern metal, progressive styles, and experimental tuning work.
