Offered for sale is my family’s 2017 Gibson Custom Shop Explorer Custom in Ebony. It comes complete with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity (COA), Gibson Gold Warranty booklet, hang tags, original paperwork, pre-pack checklist, and a Gibson-branded shipping carton. The production year has been confirmed directly with Gibson Customer Service as a 2017 model. This guitar was purchased new and has remained in my family’s collection since then. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been played beyond any possible factory inspection or setup. The original hang tags are still attached, and it has spent its life stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free home. The guitar presents beautifully. The Ebony finish retains a deep, glossy shine, the gold hardware is in excellent condition, and the instrument appears to be completely original with no breaks, repairs, or modifications. One detail I appreciate as a collector is that this guitar still includes its original paperwork and documentation. Those items are becoming harder to find together, and they help tell the story of the instrument. It will also be shipped in a Gibson-branded shipping carton and carefully packed inside its original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case.
