- Louder Than Liftoff Royal Blue Colour Module — classic British console DNA in the Colour format.
- Condition / included items not provided — fill this before posting. Do not fake box, screws, host chassis, paperwork, or condition grade.
- Not a generic “warmth” card. Royal Blue is a miniature analog channel-colour circuit built for compatible Colour hosts like Chroma and DIYRE Colour Palette.
- Inspired by the Neve 1081 / 80-Series lane: discrete transistor amplifier behavior, transformer-coupled attitude, and upper-mid presence instead of flat, polite utility gain.
- Discrete transistor circuitry adapted from BA306 / BA338-style amplifier blocks. Real circuit texture, not a one-knob software-flavored “vibe” claim.
- Custom American-made steel output transformer. This is the heavy part of the recipe: density, push, transient grip, and console-style edge from actual iron.
- 4.7 kHz Upper Presence shelf with fixed 5 dB lift. That means vocal bite, guitar forwardness, snare crack, bass articulation, and mix lift without reaching for another EQ first.
- Presence boost is switchable by onboard solderless jumper. Run it with the lift engaged for bite, or flatten it when you want transformer saturation without the shelf.
- In Chroma, C-DRV hits the module harder while compensating output level. Simple gain-staging: push the circuit, get more saturation, keep the workflow sane.
- In Chroma, C-MIX turns the fixed shelf into a usable blend move. Instead of being locked into “on/off,” the dry/processed blend lets the 4.7 kHz lift behave like a variable presence control.
- Fixed-gain line-level design. It does not pretend to be a full preamp; it is a dedicated analog colour block that needs a compatible host for power, routing, drive, and mix control.
- Compatible with Louder Than Liftoff Colour hosts and DIYRE Colour-format hardware. Host required — this is the Colour module itself, not a standalone 500-series processor.
- Where most small saturation tools stop at “drive,” Royal Blue stacks drive + transformer + presence architecture. That is the difference: saturation density plus a defined 1081-style top-forward push.
- Use it on vocals, bass, drums, guitars, synths, stems, or full mix pairs. Clean source in, harder console-shaped source out — no giant rack, no fake plugin story, no vague mojo language.
