Rare 1975 Greco LJ-600 Les Paul Special Style Yellow Sunburst – Made in Japan
Up for sale is a rare 1975 Greco LJ-600 Les Paul Special Style in Yellow Sunburst, made in Japan.
The LJ-600 is a rare Greco model that appears in the 1975 Greco catalog and is widely regarded as a one-year production model. It is not a commonly seen Greco model, making it a highly attractive piece for Japanese vintage guitar collectors and players who appreciate early Greco craftsmanship.
This model features a mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual P-90 style pickups, and an adjustable wraparound bridge. It has the raw, direct, and expressive tone that makes Les Paul Special style guitars so appealing.
Compared with a humbucker-equipped Les Paul type, this guitar has a more open, sharp, and responsive sound. The P-90 style pickups deliver a strong midrange, clear attack, and a very musical vintage character.
This example has honest vintage wear throughout, but it has a great look, strong presence, and a very enjoyable sound. It is not a clean collector-grade piece, but rather a real player-grade Japanese vintage guitar with character.
