For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 2020 Martin Road Series Special Acoustic Electric Guitar.
This Martin is an all-solid-acoustic-electric guitar built to be a durable, gig-ready workhorse. Fresh from a setup from our master luthier who said the guitar will need a neck reset in its future, this guitar plays smoothly and beautifully with great intonation. There are some minor signs of wear around the edges but this guitar is otherwise free of breaks or major repairs. The top, back, and sides are built completely from solid sapele. Sapele, an African tonewood structurally related to mahogany, delivers a warm, woody, and focused midrange with slightly more top-end sparkle and "air" than traditional mahogany. Underneath the solid sapele top rests non-tonally restrictive scalloped spruce bracing. This maximizes top vibration, giving the guitar a highly articulate and punchy projection that handles both fingerpicking and strumming smoothly. Ready to gig out or for sofa strumming, this Martin also includes a hardshell case.
