The J. Rockett Audio Designs Animal Overdrive is a boutique guitar pedal designed to accurately recreate the iconic tone and feel of a cranked 1968 Marshall Plexi amplifier. It acts as an "amp in a box," offering everything from classic British crunch to a heavily modified, high-gain roar.

Features:

  • The "Snarl" Switch: This toggle is a standout feature. In the down position, you get an authentic, stock '68 Plexi tone. Flinging it up transforms the pedal into a modded, higher-gain Plexi with increased harmonics and upper-mid bite.
  • 4-Knob Layout: Simple, highly responsive controls for Volume, Gain, Treble, and Bass make it incredibly easy to dial in your preferred tone.
  • Touch-Sensitive Dynamics: Like a real vintage tube amp, the pedal responds dynamically to your pick attack and cleans up beautifully if you roll back your guitar's volume knob.
  • Power: Runs on a standard 9V DC negative-tip power adapter (10mA current draw) or a 9V battery.
  • Bypass: Features True Bypass switching so your signal remains unaffected when the pedal is off.
