For sale is a 2000 Santa Cruz OM/PW, a wonderful example of one of Santa Cruz Guitar Company's most respected models. Built during the early years of the Pre-War (PW) series, this guitar has had 26 years to mature and develop the open, responsive voice that many players seek in older, well-played acoustics.
The OM/PW combines the comfort and balance of an Orchestra Model with Santa Cruz's pre-war-inspired design philosophy. It is exceptionally versatile, equally at home with fingerstyle, folk, Celtic, blues, and light flatpicking.
There are plenty of newer OM guitars on the market. What makes this one special is that it represents an opportunity to own an early Santa Cruz OM/PW that has already matured into its voice. Players who appreciate older acoustic guitars understand that age alone does not make a guitar great—but a great guitar that has had 26 years to settle in can be something special. Condition
The guitar is in very good condition for its age and has been carefully maintained.
Beyond normal signs of careful use expected on a 26-year-old instrument, the guitar presents beautifully and remains structurally sound.
A previous owner caused several small indentations near the headstock while using an electric string winder too close to the tuning machines. These marks were professionally repaired, barely noticeable, and are cosmetic only. The repair does not affect playability, tuning stability, or structural integrity.
