The Audix FP5 is a cost-effective, 5-piece drum microphone package from the Fusion Series, designed to deliver professional, instrument-specific sound for both live stages and home studios. It includes five rugged, hypercardioid dynamic microphones that reject bleed and handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) with ease.
Microphones Included
1 x f5 Dynamic (Snare): Tuned specifically for snare drums, this mic provides excellent attack and clarity. It features a low-mass diaphragm, making it highly versatile for miking guitar cabinets, bongos, and timbales.
3 x f2 Dynamics (Toms): These mics are uniquely voiced to capture the warmth, punch, and resonance of both rack and floor toms. They are also highly effective on congas, djembe, brass, and woodwinds.
1 x f6 Dynamic (Kick): Designed with an extended bass response, the f6 accurately captures the low-end thud and click of a bass/kick drum. It is also great for bass cabinets and cajons.
Key Features
Instrument-Specific Voicing: Each microphone is pre-tuned for its intended drum, minimizing the need for heavy EQ processing.
Hypercardioid Polar Patterns: Excellent off-axis noise rejection prevents cymbals and ambient stage noise from bleeding into your drum tracks.
Roadworthy Build: Encased in rugged, precision-cast zinc alloy bodies with steel mesh grilles to withstand the physical rigors of touring.
Accessories Included: The set comes complete with four drum rim clips (DClips), one standard mic clip (MC-1), and a foam-lined aluminum carrying case for secure transport.
