Solid Fullerton, CA, made Olds Ambassador brass cornet serial number 438974, which should  mean manufacture c. 1963.  Gleaming like new lacquered brass finish; a couple small worn areas and a few small dents (see photos for details); otherwise no large dents.   Plays very well and seems to have good compression.  All caps turn freely and securely. Slides pull and valves rebound nicely; valves move smoothly and look great. Cleaned and lubed. Vincent Bach mouthpiece in good condition. Original Olds case which is functional but worn and has some cracks and three one inch holes in bottom. Fine specimen of an American made horn with a great reputation.
